Apply Link Elementor Widget

The Apply Link widget enables you to easily place a link to a job’s application page within your WordPress site. The link can direct users to the job’s single page or to a separate application page, depending on your Matador Jobs settings.

This widget automatically detects the job’s WordPress ID when used in contexts like within the loop on an archive page or on a job single page. However, when the widget is used outside these contexts—such as on a static page or in a custom widget area—you will need to manually specify the job’s ID.

Content Settings

Display Method:

This setting determines how the job ID is retrieved:

Inherit from Context: Use this option if the widget is placed in a context where the job ID can be automatically detected, such as within a job listing loop or on a single job page.

Specify Job’s ID: Select this option if the widget is used outside the typical job context, and you need to manually enter the job’s WordPress ID.

Job ID:

This field appears when the “Specify Job’s ID” option is selected under Display Method. Enter the WordPress ID of the job you wish to link to. This ensures that the widget links to the correct job application page.

By default, the widget displays a link with the text “Apply Now”. You can customize this text to better suit your site’s tone or the specific job by entering your desired link text in this field.

Wrapper HTML Tags:

The default output of the widget is a simple a (anchor) tag. If you wish to modify the markup for styling or accessibility purposes, you can choose to wrap the anchor tag in a span or button tag using this setting. This allows for greater flexibility in how the link is presented on your site.

Style Settings

Fully Customizable Styles:

If the default styles inherited from your WordPress theme do not meet your design needs, you can fully customize the appearance of the Apply Link widget. This includes adjusting fonts, colors, padding, margins, and other properties to ensure the link seamlessly integrates with your site’s design. These settings offer a high degree of control, allowing you to create a link that matches your brand’s aesthetic.

Use Cases

In the Job Loop:

If you are using the widget within a job listing archive page or a job single page, the widget will automatically detect and inherit the job’s WordPress ID. This makes it easy to place the Apply Link widget without additional configuration.

Outside the Job Context:

When used outside the typical job context, such as in a custom sidebar or footer, you will need to manually specify the job’s WordPress ID to ensure the link points to the correct application page. This flexibility allows you to promote job applications in various sections of your site.
