Job Description Block

The Job Description block is for displaying the job’s description.

Using the Job Description Block

On the Job Single

When using the Job Field block on the job single template you will notice there won’t be any actual job data to show in the context of the editor. Instead you will see placeholders like this:

Outside the Job Single

While this block is primarily intended to be used on the job single template, you may find you want to use it outside of this template. If doing this, please ensure you’re using the block in a context where it can access the job data to retrieve its description. This is most likely to be within the post template of the Matador Jobs List, Query Loop or an equivalent block.

Settings

Limit Text Length

This setting determines whether or not the length of the description will be limited when displaying it on the frontend. If you want to display an excerpt of the job description in a Query Loop you can switch this setting on to ensure only a subsection of the description is displayed.

Limit

When the Limit Text Length setting is set to on, the Limit setting can be used to determine how many characters of the description will be displayed.

Styling

To style this block use the style tab in the block’s settings sidebar. This block declares support for many of WordPress’ core style controls.
