Understanding the Assist ATS Integration

The Assist ATS Salesforce package allows a user the infinite flexibility to update and modify the data and workflows to best fit their unique business needs. That said, when you enable the Matador Jobs Assist ATS Integration, it is assumed you will be relying on core data configurations by the Assist team. Please take note of the following when considering updates and modifications to your Assist ATS platform.

The “WHERE” Clause

Matador Jobs calls to the Assist ATS Salesforce object to get jobs. Jobs that match the following “WHERE” clause will be synced to Matador Jobs Pro.

nuProducts__Closed_Date__c = null AND nuProducts__Status__c = 'Open' AND nuProducts__Published__c = true

To translate, jobs that are synced via Matador Jobs are jobs that:

  • are not closed, and therefore do not have a “Closed Date” in the database,
  • have a status of “Open”,
  • and are published.

The Matador Jobs Pro team can assist you in further narrowing your WHERE clause, this may make it so future changes to Assist ATS or Matador Jobs’ implementation will not automatically extend to your installation.

The Job Data Object

The following fields are necessary for a fully-functional Matador Jobs Pro site using data from the Assist ATS.

The Matador Jobs Pro team can assist you in customizing your job object.

To add non-standard additional (custom) fields, a simple snippet of code can be added to your site. This additional field data can also be used to generate a taxonomy, if desired.

It is also possible to modify the above fields, but changes of this nature may make it so future changes to Assist ATS or Matador Jobs’ implementation will not automatically extend to your installation.

Most of the above fields, if missing, will not impact your jobs from being imported, except for a missing job title. That said, several features of Matador Jobs, including search, may be impacted when jobs are missing information. Further, Matador Jobs will be limited in how search engine and AI optimized your site can be if it is not given as much data as possible.

Take note of the following:

  • As of Summer 2025, all of the EU, Canada, and 13 US States, including California and New York, require pay transparency for jobs listed online. Matador will publish jobs missing Salary Min and Salary Max fields, but this may result in your site being displayed less prominently by search engines and causing you to be subject to legal consequences if you offer jobs in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency.
  • Google for Jobs Search and Bing Jobs Search require certain fields to be present in the Structured Data the platforms read (and Matador Jobs generates for your jobs). EmploymentType and Location information is required for these platforms.
  • Matador Jobs can provide location-based search results (eg: jobs sorted by distance from a location, jobs within 100 miles/kilometers of a location) but the job entries must have location information for these to work as intended.
  • Matador Jobs can also provide advanced filtering and sorting options on Employment Type, Category, and Location, provided these fields are included.
